The Best Ever Christmas Films

 The Best Ever Christmas Films

Whether you celebrate Christmas early, late or not at all; Christmas films fill us with holiday cheer and festive energy. Here are some of the best ever Christmas films in my entirely biased opinion to get you in the festive spirit.

1. Klaus (2019)

A highly underrated Christmas film, this animated adventure comedy has something for everyone, whether its the relatable characters, stunning art style or festive feel-good story. This film is guaranteed to fill you with festive joy and a new found love for community and the Christmas spirit.

2. Home Alone (1990)

A classic, this American comedy film will certainly leave you red from laughter. It perfectly encapsulates childlike wonder with brilliant comedic timing. You'll want to break out the popcorn and hot chocolates to ensure you fully appreciate the fun of this film.

3. Love Actually (2003)

This festive romantic comedy delves into the lives of eight different couples the month before Christmas. A film with a star studded cast who will definitely leave you smiling and appreciating the relationships you have.

4. Elf (2003)

Another famous comedy film, Will Ferrell will certainly leave you in fits of laughter and with a new childlike look on the world. This film is perfect for the family and Christmas Eve movie nights.

5. A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)

This beautiful nostalgic film reflects on the true meaning of Christmas and the over commercialisation of holidays. A great film to watch with family or to play in the background while decorating the tree.

6. The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)

This comedic twist on a classic tale will leave you feeling both nostalgic and incredibly festive, there's nothing better than the Muppets to bring you festive cheer during the festive season. I recommend snuggling up under a warm blanket with your favourite pyjamas on and your favourite snacks while watching this film.

7. Peter Pan Goes Wrong (2016)

A slapstick pantomime directed and created by Mischief Theatre, the incredible writers and actors who made The Goes Wrong Show. This film contains the usual cast and their slapstick style, perfect for the whole family. If you loved this then I also recommend A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong (2017).
