How To Romanticise School
How To Romanticise School
Schools back in session and you want to be the best in your school, or simply just get better at school. Well I am a GCSE Yr 11 student who so far every past paper I have done has been high 8s and 9s, and the lowest grade I've ever gotten was 55% (it wasn't a good day). Here are my top tips from a certified academic weapon.
Study in a Library
My best study sessions have been in a crowded library with my books surrounding me. There's something about the cosy yet busy energy of a library that fills me with academic motivation. I prefer to study alone, but you can always study with friends!
Make a playlist
Personally I have many school playlists, my main study one is Hard Hitting Classical but I also use wordless movie music and jazz in film. However, my festive one is Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker. They set the best mood while not having any distracting lyrics.
Make a Pinterest board
I like to recreate my pins it makes me feel aesthetic while getting work done, I'm thinking of starting a TikTok series where I recreate them for motivation for myself and others! You can also use the board to collect tips for revision.
Film yourself
This is the best tip to stop yourself from going on your film, and you get a nice video of yourself studying which you could post or just keep. I have hundreds of timelapses of me studying!
Keep a diary or planner
I have a diary/planner where after each lesson I write what we did in that lesson, then what I can do to create revision material from that lesson. Then at the end of the day I create that material (or save it for another day) which means during exam season I don't have to create material.
Colour code things
This will let you be organised and feel aesthetic, e.g, Physics is purple, maths is yellow etc. I use this to organise my time table as well as my notes and diary.
Join extracurriculars
This will let you make new friends and give you something to look forward to. Personally I do something everyday and I love all of them, some are music based others are academic based. It will also be good for college/university applications.
Put a bit extra effort into your look
Whether its a cute hairstyle or makeup, put a bit extra effort into yourself it will make you feel and look better!
