The 5 Best A24 Films Ever

The 5 Best A24 Films Ever

This is a collection of my personal favourite A24 films, it ranges from horror to love to coming-of-age so strap in because you're about to be in for a ride.

1. Everything, Everywhere, All At Once (2022)

This amazing film is one of my Letterboxd top 4 films, (which you can see here), it is a film about self discovery and love. It will make you laugh and cry within the same film, its chaotic, funny, adventurous and heart warming. If you feel like being taken on a journey then this is the A24 film for you.

2. We Live In Time (2024)

This heart warming yet heart breaking film follows the life of an up-and-coming chef and a man who is going through a divorce. It follows their decade-spanning romance. Out of all the films on this list, this one is guaranteed to leave you crying and with a new outlook on life.

3. Talk To Me (2022)

This horror film which admittedly isn't that scary but the acting and deeper meaning are truly incredible. It grapples with depression and grief, which is further heightened by the stunning sound design. And if you enjoyed that film, the sequel is in the works.

4. Aftersun (2022)

I featured this film in my 16 Films To Watch Before You Turn 16 list, alongside more films like it, so understandably I had to include it again. This deeply real yet moving film connects to so many people, leaving many rethinking their entire relationship with their parents. This amazing film is about a girl trying to understand her father through miniDV footage and memories to reconcile the father she knew with the man she never met.

5. Lady Bird (2017)

Another film featured in my 16 Before 16 list, this incredible coming-of-age film was Greta Gerwig's directorial debut, and to say it was perfect is an understatement. This film deals with family relationships, dreams and upbringing. It is a perfect film to watch in your late teens or early twenties that will completely change your outlook on your family.
